i had an idea to create recycled bookmarks out of one of these old miniature souvenir scene booklets. i was going to slice off the binding parts but when i sat down today another light bulb went off and i knew i had to try this instead.
this is the type of booklet i deconstructed. the yarn is from fred also so everything is recycled.
i am really pleased with them. tomorrow i plan on adding quotes to the reverse sides. i will take more photos when they are done.
meanwhile, i also made these...
these are repurposed from an old deck of cards that were not in the best condition so i salvaged the good ones. these eight are now ready for a new life. scout and i couldn't resist these sweet birds and the colors are super, aren't they?
